Luc Dubuois was a French Nobleman in life, born in 1772. The natural grace and social charms which made him noble in life have only grown now that a whole new political system is available to him. Luc is a vampire who believes in control. He is a strict sheriff and he seems to have eyes all over the city and one would not be surprised to discover that he was behind many of the political changes in cainite modern history.
Luc has considerable power over the dominate and presence disciplines, helping him keep careful control of all the working parts in his political machine. Rumor has it several vampires met their final deaths in Paris attempting to overthrow Luc’s reign there—but Luc proved very difficult to kill. Perhaps this is because it is so hard to find someone with the willpower and determination to overcome his persuasive powers, but then again maybe he’s just very hard to kill.
Luc believes that the Camarilla is paramount to the survival of his kind, and he is determined to maintain order and control over the relationship between vampires and their food. He knows that war with the Sabbat can only remain covert so long, when that war spills out into public will you be standing at his side, or looking him in the eye?
All Ventrue have a particular taste for blood and can only feed on that particular type of human. Luc’s type is gorgeous women in general, but when given the choice Luc prefers those with Auburn or red hair.
Although he rarely engages in fights directly, he was formally trained in fencing even in life. His basket-hilt ornamented rapier is rarely anywhere but his hip, and the ceremonial parrying knife hidden along the small of his back has drawn blood of its own more than once.
You’ve recently discovered that there is more to Luc’s relationship than meets the eye. He has some history with the vampire hunter Nadia. Is he related to her hatred of vampires? Can she be trusted any more than he can?
